Any resident of the North Shore may nominate a business or person. Using the criteria as a guideline, please submit reasons for nomination. Attach a brief profile of the business / person you are nominating and be sure to include the information shown on this form. Any previous awards received by the person / business – on a provincial, national or international level – will be taken into consideration (attach supporting documents).

Recipients will be chosen by a selection committee from the Chamber, finalists announced
June 4th and awards will be presented at the President’s Dinner on June 17, 2010.
~ NOMINATION CRITERIA ~
In keeping with the mission statement of the West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce,
the Awards of Excellence in Business are intended to recognize a significant and
sustained dedication to promoting, enhancing and facilitating business in our community.
The following criteria will be considered for each of the following awards:
WEST VANCOUVER BUSINESS PERSON OF THE YEAR
West Vancouver’s highest citation for community business leader.
How has/does the nominee support the West Vancouver community and/or organizations?
What has/does the nominee do to make the community a better place?
Include previous awards and items of community interest.
CORPORATE BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
RETAIL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
SERVICE BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
The Business must be licensed and/or located in West Vancouver.
Must have made a positive impact within their trade or industry.
Must have a reputation for providing a superior level of customer service and support the community in some capacity.
Businesses may nominate themselves.
Any resident of the North Shore may nominate the business.
YOUNG ENTREPREPRENEUR
As of June 1, 2010, the candidate must be a partner or shareholder of corporation and must be 40 years old or younger.
MOST GREEN BUSINESS
The business must display eco-friendly business practices, have new products or services that are eco-friendly.
CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
Based on an individual’s achievements or contributions to the community of West Vancouver in one or more of the following areas;
Community Service, Sport, Arts and Culture, Environment, Business and Economic Development.
