Spirit of Nature - Jane Clark

Jane Clark began her artistic journey in the UK during WW2, when two of her paintings joined an exhibit to travel to the USA to show the effect of a war on civilians. Now, Jane, a Plein Air artist, travels to treasure places in British Columbia. Sometimes accompanied by her photographer, she has accumulated a record of places that now are threatened or no longer visible, owing to man’s intrusion.

Jane also writes historical stories of Canada, in narrative verse, as a record for those who will live here in the future.  She is still producing canvases portraying our land.

Her present exhibit in West Vancouver Municipal Hall is worth your visit! She asks us to look around, not forgetting the staircase! Her exhibit will be on display until the end of November though the ten paintings may change next month.
The Municipal Hall is located at 750 – 17th Street.
