MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES & ANNUAL FEES - January 01, 2008

 

The West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce has five membership categories and associated annual fees. The price is for a twelve month period starting the month you join.  As of January 1, 2005 gst was applied.  The amount paid for fees is deductible as a business expense under the Income Tax Act. Membership in The West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce is open to any reputable person, directly or indirectly engaged or interested in trade, commerce or the economic, civil and social welfare of the District of West Vancouver shall be eligible for membership in the Chamber.
(Membership is not based on your business being located in West Vancouver.)

 

Full Membership

Cost $273.00  (GST included) plus a one time only Administration Fee of $35.00 

 

This membership entitles the business to up to three employee membership cards per business. It allows for one vote at the Annual General Meeting and provides access to all member product/service benefits (if they qualify), name tags, Member to Member Discounts, member rates at all Chamber functions, copies of the monthly newsletter, weekly email updates with Chamber news and a directory listing on the Chambers website.

 

Non-Profit and Not-for-Profit Membership (Please fax registration certificate for approval to 604-925-7220)

Cost $152.25  (GST Included) plus a one time only Administration Fee of $35.00 

 

With proof of your non-profit or not-for-profit status, these members are entitled to full membership benefits including one vote at the Annual General Meeting, name tag, up to three employee membership cards, access to all member product/service benefits (if they qualify), Member to Member Discounts, member rates at all Chamber functions, copies of the monthly newsletter, weekly email updates with Chamber news and a directory listing on the Chambers website.

 

Note: Not for profit/non-profit Service Clubs will be entitled to three full membership cards and a number of “Associate” member cards that equal the membership (excluding the three full member card holders). The associate cards will be distributed to the senior club officer. This special status will allow service club members access to Member to Member Discounts and member rates at all Chamber functions for the card holder only. No other benefits are attached to “associate members”.

 

Retired Person Membership (65 years plus) (Please fax proof of age to 604-925-7220)

$110.25  (GST included) plus a one time only Administration Fee of $35.00 

 

This membership allows for a single membership for a retired person with minimal benefits including a name tag, newsletter, weekly email update, Member to Member Discounts and member rates for all Chamber functions. No voting rights are included nor are any other benefits attached to this membership. No business affiliation will be included in the web membership directory.

 

Student Membership (Please fax student card to 604-925-7220

$89.25 (GST included) plus a one time only Administration Fee of $35.00 

 

This membership allows full-time high school or secondary educational students, from qualifying institutions to Member to Member Discounts, newsletter, weekly email update and member rates for all Chamber functions. No voting rights are included nor are any other benefits are attached to these memberships.

 

Recent graduates of Accredited Small Business Program (Please fax certificate to 604-925-7220)

50% off first year membership for new business start-ups.

$154.88 plus a one time only Administration Fee of $35.00 ( GST not included )

 

Recent (with in the last year) graduates of an accredited small business program are entitled to full membership benefits for a twelve month period.

 


 

Replacement Name Tags may be purchased for $10.00 + gst (pin) or $16.00 + gst (magnet) each.

Our membership is approximately 300 strong and is constantly growing.
